Be Grateful for Liberty and Harmony, have Courage and Compassion

Today is Military Spouses Appreciation Day, so my colors are Liberty, Harmony, BE Grateful (eyecolors), Courage (lipcolor), and Compassion (cheek color). It’s kind of an interesting combination and not one I would have come up with if I were just going for color combination today, but since I was basing this look solely on the names of the colors, this is the result. Bare Escentuals describes the colors as follows:

  • Courage – Warm Strawberry (Pretty Amazing)
  • Compassion – Rosy Plum
  • Harmony – Deep Satin Taupe matte
  • Liberty – Medium blue glimmer
  • BE Grateful – Golden Apricot Chiffon Velvet

To get the look, I buffed BE Grateful over my BE Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Primer, from lashes to browbone.  Harmony is the crease color and I found that I really had to use a very tiny amount for a lot of color and had to buff it out quite a bit. I wetlined my upper lashes and dry smudged my lower lashes with liberty, which is a surprisingly sheer color. I finished up with Compassion on my cheeks and Courage on my lips (is that a great sentence or what??). If I were to do this look over again with the same colors, I would use Liberty as an inner 2/3 lid color , BE grateful on the outer lid, and line with Harmony.

On the eyes:

  • BE Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Primer
  • BE Grateful from lashes to browbone
  • Harmony in crease
  • Liberty wetlined on upper lashes, dry smudged on lower lashes
  • Buxom mascara (one coat)

On the face:

  • BE Prime Time Brightening Primer
  • Original foundation in Fairly Medium
  • Compassion blush
  • Original Mineral Veil
  • Pretty Amazing Courage

What heroic/appreciative colors would you have used?
