New England Rain custom blend

Blend of Onyx, Classic Rock, Monday, Saturday, Gossamer

It’s a rainy, cold, miserable week here in New England, and it’s washed my spirits down the drain. My dear husband suggested a grey look for today, so I did a custom blend to try to match the weather. It photographs MUCH bluer than it is in person. I blended black, light grey, light pink, blue, and sparkly neutral to create a slate grey metallic look. It does have a bit of a blue hue, but not as blue as the picture suggests.

I’m sure BE makes a similar color to the one I created, but since I don’t have it, I made it up as I went. That’s the beauty of loose mineral makeup! We have the freedom to create new looks indefinitely!

The colors I used:

  • Onyx
  • Saturday
  • Classic Rock
  • Monday
  • Phoebe
  • Gossamer
  • Pearl Blossom blush
  • Mary Kay lipstick in Shell
  • BE 100% Natural lipgloss in Sugar Cookie

Clockwise, from top left: Phoebe, Monday, Onyx, Gossamer, Classic Rock, Saturday

My own blend: Onyx, Classic Rock, Monday, Saturday, Gossamer

On the eyes:

  • Custom blend (let’s call it “New England Rain”) foiled all over lid, from lashes to just above crease
  • Phoebe lightly swept into crease
  • Saturday blending out lines and buffed onto browbone
  • Phoebe wetlined along upper and lower lashes
  • FVDM

This is my rainy week look. Do you go for darker looks when the weather stinks, or do you wear, bright and cheerful looks?
