Beautiful Lisa made a Berry Flambe for her Girlfriend Michelle

I recently picked up the Women of BE collection at the last 12-hour flash sale that Bare Escentuals had. Normally this kit runs for $89, and I’ve been lusting after it, but when I saw it was on sale for nearly half price, I new I had to have it. It came with twenty mini shadows in a nice reusable box (which now holds all my Buxom pups). All the shadows are women’s names, and come in a variety of colors:

  • Beautiful Autumn Eyecolor (deep golden pumpkin glimmer)
  • Beautiful Lisa Eyecolor (bright rose pink glimmer)
  • Beautiful Melodie Eyecolor (rusty red glimmer)
  • Beautiful Susan Eyecolor (sterling silver glimmer)
  • Girlfriend Margo Eyecolor (sun-kissed rose glimmer)
  • Girlfriend Michelle Eyecolor (pale pink mist sheen)
  • Girlfriend Tina Eyecolor (spruce green matte)
  • Girlfriend Kathleen Eyecolor (olive mist glimmer)
  • Exotic Laura Eyecolor (medium rosy-clay sheen)
  • Exotic Sandra Eyecolor (smoky sage matte)
  • Exotic Tara Eyecolor (tropical teal glimmer)
  • Exotic Victoria Eyecolor (gold tiara glimmer)
  • Starlet Casey Eyecolor (burnished gold matte)
  • Starlet Catherine Eyecolor (medium olive matte)
  • Starlet Karen Eyecolor (deep cream matte)
  • Starlet Leigh Ann Eyecolor (eggplant matte)
  • Gigi Eyecolor (gold-spun cypress matte)
  • Joeli Eyecolor (lavender matte)
  • Radiant Rebecca Eyecolor (dark golden apricot glimmer)
  • Treasured Terri Liner Shadow (sparkling emerald)

I’m looking forward to exploring these colors. Already some of my new favorites are Beautiful Lisa, Girlfriend Margo, and Radiant Rebecca. I’ll be doing a few looks this week with these colors, and I’m especially looking forward to working in some neutral looks after a string of brighter, more dramatic looks here recently.

This is beautiful! I never would have thought to put those two, bright colors together! 2 questions:
    1) How do you pick your colors?
2). What are your favorite sites that you’ve learned from?

Glad you like this look! 🙂 2 answers:
    1. I don’t have a system. Most of the looks on here are the first time I’ve tried a combination. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t! I guess the colors are mostly based on my mood that day – dark and dramatic, bright and cheerful, or sometimes disjointed and boring!
    2. I really am mostly self-taught. I’ve learned a lot of tricks from Mineral Madness and I REALLY love MakeupbyTiffanyD on youtube. Definitely check her out!

Thanks! I’ll check her out and play more! 🙂
