Tarte True Blood palette – Glamour Me, Legend, The True Death, Telepath

Ahhhh, this tarte True Blood palette is amazing. The colors are SO pigmented, so you get a really great color payoff for most of the shades – especially the darker ones. Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed when presented with so many color options in one palette, so I took a suggestion from a friend to focus on quads within the palette. These quads aren’t necessarily color combo suggestions from tarte, but for the most part, they  can definitely work together. I was really happy with the way this one turned out.

Clockwise from top: glamour me, the true death, legend, telepath

ecotools shadow, full-edged liner, crease defining, blending

NYX Chloe

On the eyes:

  • Urban Decay Original Primer Potion
  • The True Death patted onto center of lid with ecotools shadow brush
  • Telepath patted onto inner lid using ecotools shadow brush, smudged under lower lashes
  • Glamour Me swept onto outer corner and into crease using crease defining brush, smudged under lower lashes
  • Fairy (not pictured) as a brow and inner eye highlight
  • Legend wetlined along upper lashes and in both upper and lower waterlines
  • 2 coats of tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara (I love this mascara!)

On the lips:

  • NYX Chloe

On the face:

  • tarte foundation in Ivory
  • BE Original foundation in fairly medium mixed with Advanced Clear Radiance
  • tarte dollface blush
  • Original mineral veil
  • Retro liner shadow to fill in brows

About Essy
I'm finally figuring out this makeup thing in my 30's. It's so much fun to collect and play with new colors and styles. I'm not a makeup artist, and far from it. I welcome any comments and tips you have!
