tarte Royal Collection pink and grey

This is my second time wearing the tarte Royal Collection, and I really like it for softer, feminine looks. I could do a more dramatic look if I felt so inclined, with the darker shimmery colors, but I really like the soft shimmers and all the mattes. One thing I have noticed with this collection, though, is that the color payoff is much better with the shimmery colors than it is with the mattes – especially the lighter matte colors. The shimmer colors need very little product for some really nice pigmentation, and blend easier than the matte colors as well.

On the eyes:

  • Pink sand color (Row 1, 2nd color) all over lid from lashes to above crease
  • Steel Grey color (Row 3, 4th color) buffed into crease
  • Shimmering Navy color (Row 4, 1st color) drylined along upper lashes
  • Shimmering Green color (Row 4, 2nd color) smudged under lower lashes
  • Ivory color (Row 1, 1st color) swept under brow and inner corner for highlight

On the lips:

  • Pretty Amazing Vivacious
  • Buxom Merry

On the face:

  • Cho Bo Yang bb cream in Light Beige
  • Laura Geller Balance and Brighten in Regular
  • tarte dollface blush
  • tinted mineral veil

About Essy
I'm finally figuring out this makeup thing in my 30's. It's so much fun to collect and play with new colors and styles. I'm not a makeup artist, and far from it. I welcome any comments and tips you have!
