Queen Tiffany picked a Golden Iris

This is the second time I wore the beautiful amber color, Golden Iris, and it seems to get better with age. I was really on the fence about this color at first, but it has grown on me. Even though I was in a hurry the morning that I applied this (as you can tell by the sloppy lipstick!), I felt put-together all day. Sometimes when I wear a color on my face that I’m not sure I like, I am aware of it all day long, wondering if people are whispering about me behind their hands about my weird eyeshadow. Ok, I’m not THAT paranoid. But I was happy with this combo, regardless of the whispers. 🙂

On the eyes:

  • Bare Escentuals Brightening eye primer
  • Ready Golden Iris from lash to crease
  • Queen Tiffany in crease and outer corner
  • tarte emphasEYES brown gel liner along top lashline
  • Turn On under brown and in inner corner
  • tarte Gifted mascara and LORAC 3d mascara

On the lips:

  • NYX Eros lipstick (forgive me, I was in a hurry!)

On the face:

  • Mally Perfect Prep primer
  • Missha Cho Bo Yang bb cream in Light Beige
  • Laura Geller Balance N Brighten in Fair
  • tarte Tipsy blush
  • MUFE hd microfinishing powder

About Essy
I'm finally figuring out this makeup thing in my 30's. It's so much fun to collect and play with new colors and styles. I'm not a makeup artist, and far from it. I welcome any comments and tips you have!

Such a pretty eyeshadow combo! If you keep this up, I might have to cave and buy that collection! I promise I did not snicker about the lipstick application… 😉 Nice to know that I’m not the only one wondering if others are laughing about my bright pink lips (ala BE PA charisma) or bright blue eyeshadow (BE I wish collection) (not on the same day)!
