tarte: Seashell Pink cream shadow

tarte makes these little pots of Amazonian Clay cream shadows, and they’re fantastic. As someone who struggles with cream shadows – they often fade and crease on my oily lids – these seem to stay in place all day on me, when worn over an eye primer. I love that you can build up the color from sheer to intense, and this Seashell Pink shade is slightly metallic looking.

bareMinerals: Pretty Amazing Allure

You know by now that I love the bareMinerals Pretty Amazing lipcolor line. I have all of them, except for a couple of QVC-exclusive shades. Pretty Amazing Allure is one that I couldn’t wait to get my hands (lips?) on because it is such a pretty peach shade, and I am all about peach. Orange is my favorite color, but doesn’t make a great lipstick, so I happily settle for peach. As with all the full-color Pretty Amazings lipcolors, the color is long lasting – just what I needed when I wore this look to my first day at my new job!

bareMinerals: Cameo Pink Primer Shadow

The bareMinerals primer shadows rock. They’re a primer and an eyeshadow in one, and the color is buildable, so you can have just a sheer wash of color or build it up for more intensity. I love the Cameo Pink shade because it’s soft and warm and brightening. I was shocked the first time I applied it because based on the “pink” in the name, I was expecting it to be much pinker. But when you think about classic cameo pins, it really is that lovely warm peachy pink shade. Plus, it stays put all day whether worn alone or as a base for another shadow.

NYX Lipstick: Apollo

NYX Cosmetics makes these super affordable lipsticks that I’ve just fallen in love with over the past year. They come in a whopping 126 shades, and are mineral based, paraben-free, and my favorite (non-high end) lip product at just $4.00 a piece. Apollo is a golden bronze brown, which is a shade I never go for in a lip product! I tend to stay with berry tones and pinks and reds, but I thought I could pull this warm shade off if I wore it in more of a monochromatic look.
